Roadtrip USA : Monument Valley

Monument Valley, Arizona/Utah

Around July 1st, we reached Monument Valley, in the Indian reserve. Hot and red and dusty. I had time for a couple of quick gouache sketches...
Except it looks much better than that.

Very, very impressive. But the dirt trail was hard on our poor little car...
